Curry had a wholesale-retail drugstore and moved it to its present building in Cartersville, GA after its construction in 1881. He sold the store to Welchel, who in turn sold it to Mr. Mays. From 1890-1894 the drugstore was Young and Mays. In 1894, it became Young Brothers Drug Store. It was purchased in 1967 by Dean Cox. The first ledger covers 1878-1880 and the second from 1880-1883. The ledgers are indexed by individual's or institution's names. The accounts are by name and include: date, item(s) purchased, price(s), and status of account. In the 1890s the ledgers were used as prescription records. Prescriptions were pasted overlapping on right-hand pages.
