Friendship Presbyterian Church was organized in 1848 on the property of Arnold Milner 
at Puckett's Ferry on the river. Nothing is known about this first church building 
except that there was a cemetery associated with it. In 1852 a new brick church was 
built in Cartersville, GA. The receipts and some donor lists are for construction 
expenses. One letter is from the Presbyterian Church Extension Committee providing 
$100.00 to finish paying for the church. The postcard shows the original 40'x60' 
structure with the addition of two towers in the 1890s. The church minutes have 
already been microfilmed by the Georgia Department of Archives and History.
